Hey guys, I started a new art blog over at heyletscommunicate.tumblr.com.
I’ll still post more of my embarrassing things on here, I just wanted a place I could share with people who I know and who will judge me.
Check it out if you want to. I’ve only posted one thing that you’ve already seen so far.
Just wanted to spew out some information about the archaeology t-shirt design I posted. It is mostly based on Pensacola, where I go to school. The pottery is from the Pensacola/Fort Walton period, you can see it at the Indian Temple Mound Museum. The berries are yaupon holly (Ilex vomitoria), which are native here. The projectile points are based on Clovis Points (found all over North America). The human skull and bird skull just represent bioarchaeology and zooarchaeology.
Some people have shown interest in it for a tattoo (myself included). I thought I should let people know what I based the symbols on. I think it would be very cool to see regional variations of my design.
